Seva's CGI Commitment: So One Million Eyes See Again
Seva Foundation's So One Million Eyes See Again campaign will harness the power of our Global Sight Network — a global coalition of community eye care facilities throughout Asia, Africa, Latin America and the Middle East.
The lead partners in the Network are hospitals and organizations already making a major impact in their regions by providing models of effective eye care service programs and by training the required personnel.
Only certain hospitals in the world have perfected models of community-based eye care programs that can serve the poor and still be self-sustaining. In order to scale-up the capacity of eye care facilities around the world to meet the global need, there must be a skillfully coordinated effort to disseminate this model.
Seva has been leading the development of the Global Sight Network. This Network will not only provide training and mentoring services, it will share supply chains and other resources that will generate the economies of scale required to make a significant impact on cataract blindness throughout the world.
